Carnival Story
In search of better business, a big American carnival opens in Munich, Germany. Joe the Barker (Steve Cochrane) befriends attractive pickpocket Willie (Anne Baxter), finds her a job, and beds her. Then high driver Frank (Lyle Bettger) recruits Willie as his assistant. When Frank falls for her and proposes marriage, Joe takes the opportunity to brush her off. After the marriage, Joe figures he can still exercise his sexual hold over Willie - but tragedy intervenes. Science fiction film fans hold a special place in their hearts for the director Kurt Neumann due to his dexterous handling (as both producer and director) of such classics as The Fly (1959).

Abbott and Costello - Jack and The Beanstalk (abbott and Costello)
The legendary comedic duo Abbott and Costello provide fairy tale fun for kids. The wacky pair pretty much stick to the outline of the original, but add their own signature comic flourishes and slapstick details.

Magnify Blood On The Sun
Blood On The Sun
Blood On The Sun
While much of the world watched the early success of 'Mein Kampf' and the bombing of Pearl Harbour was ten years in the future, few were aware of the existence of an oriental 'Hitler'.Baron Giichi Tanaka. But the war had already started in Japan for James Condon, American journalist and editor of the Japanese Chronicle, whose intuition has led him to believe that major trouble was brewing. The role of Condon, man of hard words and harder fists, is just the kind of tough guy that first brought James Cagney stardom and, in this movie, you will not be disappointed as he battles to stay alive long enough to warn the rest of the world against a Japanese militarist plot called the 'Tanaka Plan' that was world domination as its objective. This is one of the first American martial arts movies and features some gripping action with Cagney doing his own stunts for which he trained intensively with Ken Kuniyuki, a fifth degree Judo master, before shooting. This is Cagney at his best.

Magnify Little Shop Of Horrors - 1960
Little Shop Of Horrors - 1960
Little Shop Of Horrors - 1960
The original movie of this classic black comedy/horror about a rather dim-witted young man, Seymour (Jonathan Haze), working for $10 a week in Mushnick's flower shop on skid row who develops an intelligent, bloodthirsty plant. He names the plant 'Audrey Junior' and, as it grows, it demands human meat for sustenance and Seymour is forced to kill in order to feed it. Jack Nicholson has a notable cameo part as an undertaker, Wilbur Force, who is a masochistic dental patient, and the film also features the writer Charles Griffith as the hold-up man and the voice of 'Audrey Junior'. Sources differ but it was reputed that the film ws shot in just two or three days and, in 1961, it was billed as, 'The Funniest Picture This Year!'. The film inspired the well-known off-Broadway hit musical and a musical/comedy movie remake starring Rick Moranis and Ellen Greene was made in 1986.

Magnify Till The Clouds Roll By
Till The Clouds Roll By
Till The Clouds Roll By
A fascinating and colorful screen biography of Jerome Kern (Robert Walker). It starts with the opening night of his smash hit 'Showboat' and flashes back to his beginnings as an almost penniless songwriter. The film follows his friendship with James I. Hessler and journeys to England where the best songwriters are reputed to be, and where he finds his early successes - and the future Mrs Kern (Dorothy Patrick). After some difficult times in the USA he collaborates with Oscar Hammerstein II; the result being the classic adaptation of Edna Ferber's 'Showboat'. A host of Hollywood's finest talent performs Kern's songs that include, 'Make Believe', 'Cotton Blossom', 'Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man', 'The Last Time I Saw Paris', 'Cleopatterer', 'They Didn't Believe Me', 'I Won't Dance', 'Smoke Gets In Your Eyes' and, of course, 'Till The Clouds Roll By' plus many, many more. The picture's grand finale features Frank Sinatra singing 'Ol' Man River' - This is one huge and lavish musical feast; great entertainment.
