Last Ride (1994) A man trying to escape his criminal past becomes involved with woman born under a bad sign in this fast-paced crime drama. Frank T. Wells (Mickey Rourke) has just been released from prison after spending ten years for manslaughter, the conviction stemming from an act of selfdefence. Frank wants to rebuild his life and start his own ranch; to raise money he begins riding the rodeo circuit. While on the road, Frank meets a woman named Scarlet Stuart (Lori Singer), who has "F.T.W." tattooed on her hand (though it means "F--k the World"). Scarlet was both partner in crime and unwilling lover to her brother Clem (Peter Berg) who recently died after shooting four people in a bank holdup. When Scarlet discovers Frank's initials are F.T.W. she believes it means that they were meant to be together and they quickly fall into a relationship as Scarlet supports herself the way she knows best, armed robbery. Now Frank must decide whether fate has sent him the woman with whom he can rebuild his life, or whether it has dealt him a hand which will send him straight back to jail, or perhaps even worse. Ricochet River A coming of age story about three teenagers in search of their place in the world. Change comes slowly in the small logging community of Calamus Grove. One Last Ride Sometimes life gets away from you One man's life begins to crack under the weight of his compulsive gambling in the heartfelt drama One Last Ride. Michael works as a salesman for a garment firm in Los Angeles. Michael has a job, a wife named Gina (Anita Barone), and a baby on the way; however, he also has a gambling problem that is threatening to destroy him. As his debts mount, Michael is forced to lie to his boss (Charles Durning) in order to come up with money to pay his bookies, and as the pressures of his job and the coming responsibilities of fatherhood weigh on him, Michael sinks deeper and deeper into his addiction to gambling, always convinced the next bet will be the big win that pulls him out of the hole.
